Tottenham head into a North London derby that presents Harry Redknapp with somewhat of a selection headache.

The former Portsmouth and Southampton manager is looking to add to his fine record of two wins and one draw in charge of Spurs against Arsenal this weekend, and is expected to welcome back a host of first team starters from the side that beat Shamrock Rovers mid-week.

The likes of Gareth Bale, Emmanuel Adebayor and Luka Modric are likely to start in Sunday's fixture after Redknapp admitted he had one eye on the upcoming game against the Gunners on Wednesday evening.

Michael Dawson (achilles), Tom Huddlestone (ankle), William Gallas (calf) and Steven Pienaar (groin) are all expected to miss the derby while Niko Kranjcar (hamstring) will face a late fitness test ahead of the key fixture.

Aaron Lennon is sure to find himself in the 18-man squad, at least, after playing 65 mins against Shamrock Rovers but Redknapp is debating which of Jermain Defoe or Rafael Van see Vaart will start on Sunday, while Scott Parker and Sandro will both be vying for a starting spot alongside Modric in the Spurs midfield.

Potential starting XI:

Friedel; Walker, King, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Van der Vaart, Modric, Parker, Bale; Defoe Adebayor.
