Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is said to be readying a bid for Lorient star Kevin Gameiro.

£12m rated Gameiro has been in superb form for his club this season and currently leads the French goalscoring charts.

Redknapp and assistant Kevin Bond flew out to watch the Lorient striker in action against Nice over the weekend and despite failing to hit the back of the net, may have done enough to convince Redknapp that he is the man to lead the Spurs frontline next season.

Spurs are in the market for a new striker and have been linked with Pablo Osvaldo and Gervinho in recent weeks.
