Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov is set for an astonishing return to White Hart Lane.
The Premier Leagues golden boot winner wasn't named among the substitutes or the starting XI in United's 3-1 Champions League final defeat at the hands of Barcelona last night prompting rumours he is set to exit Old Trafford.
Manager Harry Redknapp believes he can acquire the Bulgarian for around £10m, a significant gain on Spurs behalf who sold him to United for £30m back in 2008.
Redknapp is a keen admirer of Berbatov and sees him as the player to boost Tottenham's top four credentials next season.
Spurs are on the lookout for a striker and Berbatov joins a host of players the club has been linked with in recent weeks.
