Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is set to turn down a move to Italian Champions AC Milan on favour of move to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

The Ivorian seems set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer following the January arrival of record signing Fernando Torres.

Drogba, who has scored 145 goals in 306 Chelsea appearances, is said to be keen to remain in London and a chance to cement his place as the number one striker at Spurs may be too good to turn down.

One stumbling block however may be the Chelsea strikers wage demands which would see Spurs smash their current wage budget in order to secure his services.

Spurs are known to be in the market for a striker this summer which has seen them linked with a host of forwards including Leandro Damiao, Sergio Aguero and Pablo Osvaldo.
