Tottenham are said to be readying a bid for Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente.
The £20m rated Spanish international has been earmarked as the world class striker manager Harry Redknapp and chairman Daniel Levy desperately crave.
And after 7 goals in 13 for world and European champions Spain, Spurs feel the 26-year-old be able to convince star duo Luka Modric and Gareth Bale that their respective futures lie at White Hart Lane.
However, any move for Llorente is dependant on Redknapp raising fees on selling players first.
Redknapp and Levy want to ship out three of the current striker quartet with Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch all up for sale.
Levy is said to want at least £6m for Keane, £14m for Pavlyuchenko and £12m for either Crouch or Defoe.
