Tottenham are today being linked with a move for Barcelona outcast Ibrahim Afellay.
The Dutchman is currently down the pecking order with the Catalan giants and the arrival of Alexis Sanchez will do little to help his chances of breaking into the starting XI.
Reports in Spain suggest that Barcelona vice-president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, is currently London bound as the European Champions try and wrap up a deal for Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.
He is expected to arrive over the weekend and the Spanish press suggest Bartomeu and his Barca delegation will make the small trip across North London which will see Spurs wrap up a deal for Afellay.
Spurs are keen to add new-blood to their ranks and see the 25-year-old, formely of PSV Eindhoven, as a major coup.
However, the Holland international has continuously declared his happines with the Spanish giants pre-Sanchez.
But with the signing of the Chilean international now secure, Afellay may be forced to re-think his future with Barcelona.
Spurs are no stranger to dealing with the defending La Liga champions having signed Giovani Dos Santos and, more recently, Christian Cabellos from them.
