Would Benteke Be Tottenham's Ideal Signing In January?

Tottenham are having a positive season so far, but there are a few areas that they could improve on, in my opinion. They have started the campaign in  a solid fashion, conceding just six league goals, and sit just five points off top spot. But they are struggling at the other end, despite big money signing Roberto Soldado coming into the club in the summer. Andre Villas-Boas' side have scored just nine league goals, more than three times less than Manchester City have scored (28).

I think I have found a solution however, and it comes in the shape of Aston Villa's Christian Benteke.

The Belgian took us all by storm last season when he arrived at Villa Park, scoring 19 league goals in his 34 games. He has proven himself as a real physical presence up top and is able to lead a line effectively, which is something Spurs need right now - a bit of muscle.

While Jermain Defoe is a quick player who loves shooting from range, Soldado is a real fox in the box type player who pounces on loose balls. So to draft in a bustling player who can open up gaps, prove a threat in the air and invite other players into play would surely only benefit the north London side?

Spurs fans, do you agree that the Villa forward is the perfect man for us?
