Blackburn Rovers vs Tottenham preview

After leap-frogging Rubin Kazan in their Europa League group on Thursday night, it is back to Premier League duties for Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

The North London side travel to bottom-of-the-table Blackburn Rovers still facing a defensive crisis.

Micahel Dawson (achilles), Ledley King (groin), William Gallas (calf) and Vedran Corluka (ankle) are all sidelined indefinitely for the trip to Ewood Park.

The aforementioned quartet are set to be joined by midfield trio Steven Pienaar (groin), Tom Huddlestone (ankle) and Niko Kranjcar (thigh)

Better news for Harry Redknapp, however, Aaron Lennon and Sandro came through Thursday's 1-0 win un-scathed and, despite the pair being replaced after 70 minutes, are likely to feature against Steve Kean's side.

Danny Rose is also expected to join the travelling party after partaking in the full 90 minutes during the Europa League encounter.

Otherwise, a much changed line-up is expected for Sunday's fixture after a number of first-team players were rested for the Premiership encounter.

Potential starting XI:

Friedel; Walker, Bassong, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Modric, Parker, Sandro, Bale; Van der Vaart, Adebayor
