Team news ahead of Birmingham City encounter

Harry Redknapp has confirmed that William Gallas may have a chance of facing Birmingham on Sunday. The defender sat out last week's 2-0 win over Liverpool with a calf strain.

Bad news for Rafael Van der Vaart who looks set to miss the game after coming off early with a calf problem in the same fixture. Stephen Pienaar is also a doubt for the game.

Better news for Benoit-Assou Ekotto, Alan Hutton and Jermaine Jenas who have all ben passed fit for Sunday.

Gomes has also returned from a back injury while Tom Huddlestone and Wilson Palacios were both rated 50/50 for the fixture.

Ledley King is also hoping to be included in the starting XI after making his first start in seven months in the win over Liverpool.

Gareth Bale, however, remains sidelined with an  ankle problem.
