Spurs leading race for Gervinho

Tottenham are said to be leading the race for Lille's £10m rated Ivorian star Gervinho.

Harry Redknapp has been to watch the Ivory Coast international twice this past week and would have been impressed with what he saw after Gervinho scored his 15th goal of the season to leave Lille on the brink of securing the league title.

Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been credited with an interest in Gervinho but the 23 year old is reportedly keen on joining up with Redknapp at White Hart Lane.

Spurs are in the market for strikers this summer after seeing their current crop come up short too many times this season. The club are also interested in Espanyol's Pablo Osvaldo and Europa League star Falcao of Porto.
