Redknapp eyeing up Johnson move

Harry Redknapp is reported to be lining up a move for Birmingham City's Roger Johnson.

Johnson has been with the St. Andrews side since 2009 when he was signed for £5m from Cardiff City.

"He's a fantastic player, he leads by example" Redknapp said.

The Spurs manager is in the market for a new centre back after worries were raised over the long-term fitness of defensive duo Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King.

Redknapp is also set to move for Newcastle United's Cheick Tiote if a move for West Ham United's Scott Parker fails to materialise.
