Harry plans Luka stay

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has vowed to not sell Luka Modric this transfer window.

Speculation is intensifying that the Croat is top of Manchester United's wanted list after Sir Alex Ferguson vowed to re-build his squad to match Champions League winners Barcelona.

United were humbled by their Spanish counterparts and, after the 3-1 defeat coupled with Paul Scholes announcing his retirement from football, Ferguson wants Modric at Old Trafford next season as his replacement.

Redknapp, however, told reporters he is willing to go hammer and tong to keep Modric at White Hart Lane.

"All of our players are under contract. The Chairman (Daniel Levy) and I have discussed this and we have no intention of selling any of them." Redknapp said.

"They are at a top club and we are looking to improve the squad in the summer, not weaken it, in order to push for a Champions League place again next season."

Modric, who admitted yesterday he is keen to play Champions League football, recently picked up the Spurs' Player of the Year award.
