Spurs rivalling Arsenal for Samba signing

Reports this morning suggest Tottenham are willing to battle rivals Arsenal for the signing of Blackburn Rovers' Christopher Samba.

Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to add at least two experienced defenders to the ranks and wants to sign Samba after missing out on his former team-mate Phil Jones.

Arsenal, reportedly, had an initial £8m bid rejected for the Congolose born defender but are expected to improve on their first offer and Redknapp is ready to match any offer the Gunners make for the 27-year-old.
