Spurs eyeing Diarra deal

Tottenham are pondering a move for Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra.

French international Diarra has been told he can leave the Bernabeu by Jose Mourinho after the club completed the signings of Hamit Altintop and Nuri Sahin.

And it is Spurs who are willing to take the former Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth midfielder back to the Premiership.

Harry Redknapp knows Diarra well having taken him to Portsmouth before selling him to Madrid in 2009.

The club have also been linked with West Ham United captain Scott Parker but expect stiff competition from Liverpool and Arsenal for his signature and could turn to Diarra to bolster his midfield ranks.

Manchester United are also reportedly keeping tabs on 26 year-old.
