No deals close - Redknapp
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has quashed speculation that the club are set to make any signings in the foreseeable future.
Spurs have been linked with a host of players, including Falcao of Porto, Villarreal's Guiseppe Rossi and West Ham United captain Scott Parker, in recent weeks.
Yet Redknapp admits he has been busy trying to secure the signatures of players that will boost the clubs top four hopes next season.
"It's been busy - I've been busy doing nothing really, we haven't got anywhere," he said.
"There's been lots of phone calls, lots of talk in the newspapers but we're really not close to making any signings and certainly not looking to sell any of our better players."
Speculation has also been rife in regards to star trio Luka Modric, Gareth Bale and Sandro.
Redknapp again moved to re-buff any suggestions that three of them would be sold this summer.
"We're not selling Luka Modric, we're not selling Gareth Bale, we're not selling Sandro," he added.
"We are looking to build a team at Tottenham, not dismantle one. If we're going to push on as a football club we need to keep them players and we need to add one or two other top players to them if we're looking to have a chance of ever getting back in the Champions League again.
"So we're not looking to sell players - that would be a massive backward step for the club."
