Spurs in Gyan link

Tottenham have once again been linked with Sunderland's Asamoah Gyan.

The Black Cats record signing has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light this summer with Spurs mooted as potential suitors.

Sunderland have strongly denied that the Ghanaian international will be sold this summer and the North London side are reportedly putting together a deal of £5m plus Jermain Defoe.

Defoe has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer following a poor season for Spurs.

Sunderland have been credited with an interest for the England hitman in recent weeks and manager Steve Bruce may be willing to do business.

Bruce has been looking for a natural goal scorer since Darren Bent left for Aston Villa in January while Spurs are keen to re-vamp their forward line and see Gyan as a potential target.
