Forlan dismisses transfer talk

Reported Tottenham target Diego Forlan has moved to distance himself from a move away from Athletico Madrid.

Reports suggested that the 32-year-old was on his way out of the Spanish capital after reportedly falling out with the fans and management hierarchy.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is keen to bolster his attacking options and has earmarked Forlan as a possible signing having been linked with a move for the Uruguayan since last year's World Cup.

However, Forlan, joint-top scorer in South Africa last summer, is ignorning the speculation insisting that he is ready to fulfill his commitment to Athletico Madrid.

"I have two years left on my contract," Forlan said.

"There are rumours that the club are looking to ship me out, but I'm relaxed. I have two years left on my contract and I aim to fulfil that."

Turkish side Galatasaray have also been linked with a move for the former Manchester United striker.
