Spurs to offer Zamora return

Tottenham are reportedly keen on bringing Fulham striker Bobby Zamora back to White Hart Lane.

The former Brighton & Hove Albion striker endured a miserable six-month stint with Spurs in 2003 before moving to West Ham United in a deal which saw Jermain Defoe move to the North London outfit.

However, manager Harry Redknapp is a long-term admirer of the 30-year-old and is willing to offer Peter Crouch as bait in any potential deal.

Redknapp is keen to bolster his strikeforce after his current crop failed to hit the back of the net consistantly last season.

Chairman Daniel Levy is keen to streamline the squad and lower the wage bill so Redknapp has to sell before he can bring in new faces.

The deal would work in both ways for both Levy and Redknapp however, with one striker being removed from the wage bill and another being added to the squad.

It remains to be seen whether new Fulham manager Martin Jol would be willing to see his star-striker sold especially with the new season just two weeks away.

Jol is not going to be very willing to negotiate with Spurs, I guess.
So here Spurs need to make a "to good to refuse offer", or the deal wont go trough.
