Wigan Athletic vs Tottenham preview

Tottenham make the trip to the DW stadium tomorrow to take on Wigan Athletic and are hoping to extend thier current unbeaten run.

The North London side haven't lost a match since the 5-1 humbling at the hands of Manchester City last month, not conceding a goal in the process.

Manager Harry Redknapp is expected to ring the changes following the Carling Cup exit at the hands of Stoke City on Tuesday night with many first teamers expected to return.

Sandro, who made his long awaited come-back from knee surgery on Tuesday night, came through the match un-scathed and is expected to be part of the travelling party.

Rafael Van der Vaart is also available following his return to full fitness following a hamstring problem picked up in the aforementioned 5-1 defeat to Manchester City.

However, Benoit Assou-Ekotto is a doubt through illness while Niko Kranjcar and Roman Pavlyuchenko (both hamstring) are both set to miss out on the fixture.

Aaron Lennon (groin) and William Gallas (calf) are also ruled out of the fixture despite the former taking part in training on Friday and the latter playing the full 90 minutes in the behind-closed-doors friendly defeat to Brentford on Tuesday afternoon.

The game comes too soon for Steven Pienaar (groin) and Danny Rose (ankle) despite the pair making good progress ahead of their respective returns.

Michael Dawson (achilles) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) both remain sidelined.

For Wigan, Hugo Rodallega (knee), Emmerson Boyce (hamstring), Antolin Alcaraz (thigh) and Steve Gohouri (calf) and all expected to sit out the game.
