Kranjcar looking to revive Spurs career

Tottenham midfielder Niko Kranjcar is looking to re-establish himself at White Hart Lane this season.

The Croatian international was frozen out of the first team last, making only two starts in the Premiership.

However, after starting three of the clubs four competitive games this season, the former Portsmouth midfielder is hoping to be given the chance to prove himself once more to manager Harry Redknapp.

“Of course it was a difficult time for me last season. I enjoy being here at Spurs. I always think about the club first but I love playing football and it’s tough when you are not doing that," he said.

“I didn’t get my chances last season but every time I was selected I gave it my best because that is the way I was brought up.

“Now I’m trying to do the same this season.”

The midfielder was expected to depart North London last month but moves to Dynamo Kiev, Sunderland and Fiorentina failed to materialise.
