The view from the oppo

Another View from the Oppo ahead of our weekend encounter at Everton, couresty of Jogger.
    1.  Has the return of Steven Pienaar boosted the squad?

He has been great for us. I don’t think many of us wanted him to leave in the first place. He is a class act and let’s hope we can make the deal a permanent one.

     2.  How do you feel about Louis Saha leaving?

King Louis is a top player. I just think he needed a fresh challenge. There were times when it seemed that the whole world was against him. But he was good for us and we wish him well.

      3.  Is Nikica Jelavic are more than adequate replacement?

Let’s hope so. We haven’t much of him so far. Maybe he will start his first game with a goal against the Spurs.

      4.  Will Spurs secure Champions League football?

Well they deserve to. I have enjoyed watching Spurs and I think they will do a decent job in the Champions League.

    5.  Will Everton finish in a European spot?

Yes, when we win the FA Cup. Well we can dream.

    6.  Do you want Harry Redknapp as the next England manager?

He deserves the chance I suppose. The England stuff is a bit of a pain in the arse. The thing with Harry is he will pick the players who deserve a chance and not players who think they have the divine right to play for England.

    7.  Were Spurs ever genuine title contenders?

Probably not, but you have given it a proper go. Maybe next season.

    8.  Would you be sad if David Moyes go?

Yes. But I think David Moyes needs to win a trophy. He has done brilliantly with limited money but he has a squad that is capable of winning something.

    9.  Prediction for Saturday?

I’m going for a 2-1 win for us. I love Goodison for night games. The atmosphere will be great and it has the making of a top game.

    10.  What have you given up for lent and why?

I didn’t last long. A couple of days without a drink. And if you seen the size of my gut you would know the reason why.

Jogger is part of the team that runs Everton fansite Blue Kipper.

In turn, I was asked a set of questions ahead of the game at Goodison Park with the answers available here.
