Summer transfer rumours Pt. 1

Yes, it’s back. The summer has crept up on us like a cheetah hunting a wild boar, and with it comes the transfer window. Some of the rumours I have seen or heard is as follows:

Vertonghen – Most know about this. Still wants to join, irregardless of the lack of Champions League football. Personal terms all but agreed, just need to stump up the €15m Ajax want

Remy – In France at the moment, with the national team medical staff still to decide on whether his hamstring problem will rule him out of the Euro’s or not. Chances are it will, whilst the injury meant he won’t look around the facilities until later this month The club has met his agent, and apparently a deal is close.

Mystery Marseille player – A bid may have gone in for another Marseille player, but don’t know who.

Rhodes – Saw last week that a deal was 100% done. Unreliable source, so would take it with a pinch of salt.

Birmingham City duo – Spurs are believed to be in pole position to sign Redmond and Butland, with Townsend spending another season on loan at St. Andrews. Chris Hughton in charge will help with the deal due to previous links. Furthermore, Redmond will be loaned back as part of the deal.

Modric – He is Real Madrid’s number one target, something I don’t understand considering Ozil is there and better than him.

Bale - Levy has sent a letter to all those interested that he isn't for sale.

Note: This is what I have heard or read. I am not an ITK, just passing on what is rumoured. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Would love the mystery Marseille player to be Mandanda...or one of the Ayew brothers. The Birmingham deal looks possible and appetising. My Brum mates love both those players and are wary that they might leave. Come on Chris, do us a solid!
