Transfer rumour round-up

With Andre Villas-Boas and Gylfi Sigurdsson firmly on board the good ship Tottenham Hotspur, the club have been linked with a host of players to arrive at White Hart Lane. Naturally, it being silly season, clubs have been linked with a number of names from Europe’s top clubs. Here are the latest rumours that have been heard from the interweb.

Loic Remy – A deal is supposed to be completed within the next 10 days.

Jan Vertonghen – Completed at the weekend.

Hugo Lloris – Villas-Boas wants him. Unknown fee.

Takeover/Investment – Could be close.

Joao Moutinho – Like, Lloris, Villas-Boas wants him.

Nuri Sahin – A no-goer.

Gonzalo Higuain – Spurs want him as part of any Luka Modric deal.

Rafael van der Vaart – Interest from Germany is solid. If the fee is right, he is likely to go.

Jack Butland – Subject to a bid-and-loan-back offer.
