Should Tottenham be looking to Brazil for more talent? - 5 players who could improve Spurs' squad 

With Paulinho and Sandro operating so efficiently in the middle of the Tottenham side, here are 5 players from the Brazilian topflight that could improve the current Spurs side.

1) Dede - Cruzeiro

The 25-year-old defender has he towering presence of Michael Dawson but the technical ability of Jan Vertonghen and could prove a shrewd piece of business should they go looking for him. Not only has he made 71 interceptions in 27 games, but he has also made 195 clearances and 51 tackles.

2) Rhodolfo - Gremio

Another intimidating centre-half now in the shape of 27-year-old Rhodolfo. In his 17 appearances, he has made 56 interceptions, 106 clearances and even had 10 shots.

3) Gilbero - Portuguesa

Spurs are in need of a frontman and this 24-year-old goal-getter could be just what they're looking for. With 14 goals in just 19 games, Gilberto is second to only Ederson in terms of league goals this term.

4) Ederson - Atletico PR

So guess who is next? The 24-year-old forward has scored 16 goals in 30 games this term and has claimed two assists. Ederson is a quicker, more agile player than Roberto Soldado but a stronger one than Defoe and could prove the right mix should he move to north London.

5) Alexandre Pato - Cortinthians

The most well-known now with former AC Milan striker Pato. He has played 26 games this season and scored eight goals, as well as two in three in the cup.
