AVB rewarded with £50m transfer budget for turning down PSG approaches

Loyalty is a rarity in modern day football, so should rightly be rewarded. The Metro are reporting that Andre Villas-Boas' decision to turn down the advances of Paris Saint-Germain has impressed chairman Daniel Levy so  much so that he will be boosting his transfer budget to £50m this summer.

The filthy rich French champions were keen to recruit AVB as they search for a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Carlo Ancelotti but the Portuguese gaffer is focused on Spurs and getting them back in the Champions League in what will be the first time he has spent more than a season at a club.

The 35-year-old took his first job in management when he was just 21 with the British Virgin Islands but resigned the following year before he moved into the number two role at Porto with Jose Mourinho, with whom he followed to Chelsea and Inter.

He then spread his wings and reverted back into a head coach with Portuguese outfit Academica and soon found himself linked back to Porto, but this time as number 1, because of his impact. He duly took the job and won his first trophy after just two months (Portuguese Super Cup) before going the entire unbeaten to win the league and then the UEFA Cup in his first season.

Chelsea then wanted a piece of him and threw a huge sum of money at Porto for his services ended his one-year reign but it then went downhill as he was sacked after 10 months by battleaxe Roman Abramovich.

It would lead to brighter things, however, as he looks to be building something special at Spurs. His desire for attractive yet effective football has seen his reputation in the Premier League rocket. Going into his second season with a club doubters will be watching with a close eye.

So Daniel Levy, a man notorious for saying nothing to the media if he can help it, suddenly tells the Metro that as a reward for AVB's loyalty to the club, he's going to give him a transfer kitty of £50M. What a load of fucking bollocks as per usual from a comic of a so called newspaper. They are equally as bad as the Daily Fail.

50m is not enough to challenge. £70m is more like it.

The press invent a story, idiots fall for it, AVB turns down something that doesn't exist and Levy says here's £50 million. What a load of cobblers. Get real
