Foster lined up for Gomes replacement

Harry Redknapp has identified Birmingham City goalkeeper Ben Foster as the man to replace error-prone Heurelho Gomes in the Tottenham goal.

Gomes, reportedly, claiming he wants a move back to former club PSV Eindhoven means Redknapp will make a move for Birmingham City's Player of the Year and believes £7m will be enough to land his man.

Foster has been instrumental since making the move from Manchester United to St. Andrews and, despite consistently dismissing speculation that he is ready to leave Birmingham, may find the lure of Premier League to tempting to turn down especially after the clubs relegation.

Brazilian Gomes has come under contstant criticism this season aftr a series of high profile errors against Real Madrid, Blackpool and Chelsea.
