Does Kane deserve his chance to start?
Harry Kane; may not sound like a world beater like David Villa or Lionel Messi but the boy does pack the talent in abundance.
Many Spurs fans, myself included, have been eager to see what the youth academy product can do should he be given the chance in the Premiership.
While the quartet of Keane, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko and Crouch have all been vying for the best of the bunch, it is Kane who, in my opinion, deserves his chance to stamp his mark on the starting XI.
Some may say he is too young to start for the club but you just have to look at Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen when they made their debuts for their respective clubs, both 16 and both took the league by storm. The rest, as they say, is history.
In comparison, look at Connor Wickham? Some were edging Spurs to bid for the former Ipswich Town striker, an 18-year-old (one year older than Kane) who cost Sunderland around £10m to bring him to the Stadium of Light.
Will Wickham be starting for Sunderland next weekend? That remains to be seen but it appears Steve Bruce is more than willing to include him on the bench at least.
His ability in and around the box is one of the players' best aspects of his game, an ability the current crop appear to lack at the best of times while his two goals against MK Dons, where he appeared from the bench replacing Defoe, gives fans the indication of his all round ability.
Personally, if Kane had a place on the bench when we host Everton next week, I would be a very, very happy man.
But, is Redknapp willing to give him the chance? Unlikely. 'Arry prefers his tested and tried players rather than taking the risk on youth.
It also begs the question, do we really need to sign another striker? If Kane was give then chance with the senior squad, who knows what could happen. Rather than splashing the cash on a, so called, world class striker, Spurs could already have a frontman that is more than capable of holding his own against the Premier League's top defenders.

Yes put him on the bench and bring him on if we winning for last 20 . Also sell crouch and keane . Keep pav and defo and then get benzema and hulk ;)
Yeh...dream on pal.....Vucinic was our most realistic target, but not even he wanted to come.
kane should be given a chance....he can hold his own and has quick instincts in front of goal.
