Wolves vs Tottenham preview
At long last, the international break is over. The transfer window has slammed shut and teams will have to make do with the players they have until January.
With that in mind, Tottenham face a tricky away tie to Wolverhampton Wanderers. A trip to Molineux isn't one to be taken light-heartedly, with Spurs record in the last two years reading as one loss and one draw.
Not ideal when you consider that the club have lost their opening two Premier League encounters this season, 3-0 to Manchester United and 5-1 to Manchester City.
Wolves have made a bright start to the new campaign having picked up seven points from a possible nine in their first three games and will be confident they can upset the odds on Saturday afternoon.
New signings Emmanuel Adebayor and Scott Parker are expected to go straight into the starting XI for this fixture.
However, Spurs will be without last season's top scorer Rafael Van der Vaart (hamstring), Aaron Lennon (groin), Ledley King (knee), Stephen Pienaar (groin) and William Gallas (calf).
It remains to be seen whether or not Luka Modric will feel up to the fixture but his goal against Israel mid-week suggests he is more than ready to play again.
Wolves are also facing a minor injury worry with star man Matt Jarvis expected to be joined by Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Adlène Guedioura and David Edwards on the sidelines.
Without Van der Vaart, expect Redknapp to revert back to the familiar 4-4-2. Some fans are hoping Giovani Dos Santos will start, following a deadline day move to Sevilla breaking down, but I can't see Redknapp selecting the Mexican international for this tricky away tie.
Potential starting XI
Fridel; Walker, Dawson, Kaboul, Assou-Ekotto; Kranjcar, Parker, Modric, Bale; Defoe, Adebayor
