Tottenham and title contenders in the same sentence? Surely not....

To the Lane and Back simply cannot stop pinching themselves when they look at the table. Are we really in third place? Two points off second?? With a game in hand??? Somebody pinch us we must be dreaming. Alas, despite checking every five minutes, the table still shows Spurs in the top three. Many have even tipped the mighty Lilywhites as title contenders. A step too far? We took the opportunity to decided whether it was.

Do we need Ade permanently?

To the Lane and Back does love Emmanuel Adebayor. Despite his Arsenal history, the way he has been playing since joining in August has been nothing short of superb. Clearly enjoying life at White Hart Lane, it got us thinking; would it be right to try and sign him permanently? Every fan knows how he performs when he becomes a bit too comfortable with his surroundings but his impact has been imperative to our rise up the table to third.

Tottenham’s hopes of re-breaking the top four

It was Peter Crouch who settled Tottenham Hotspur’s top four challenge in the previous two years scoring in the same goal at the same ground against the same team. Unfortunately for Spurs fans, last season’s ‘winner’ was at the wrong end, allowing Manchester City to steal a march on their top four rivals before finishing third.
