Could Jan Vertonghen Be The Answer To Spurs' Midfield Problems?

With that in mind, Matt Walsh looks at the possibility of Vertonghen stepping further into the midfield to partner Mousa Dembele.

Is a top-four finish feasibly in Spurs' reach?

The weak link in the Spurs team

With Spurs high-flying in the Premiership, it is easy to see why they are being labelled as perennial title contenders. 11 games unbeaten, 10 of which were wins, sees the North Londoners in third place with the potential to rise above Manchester United into second. #wwwwdwwwww was a favoured trending topic of Tottenham fans on Saturday evening. Sandro has done no wrong, just Parker has done everything right

When Sandro signed for Spurs last summer, To the Lane and Back were unbelievabely excited about the prospect of having our very own Patrick Vieira in the ranks. Despite a slow start, it was evident that his ability and potential were a force to really be reckoned with. With some excellent performances bossing the midfield in the second half of the season, many expected the Brazilian to be a first name on the team-sheet. However, with the arrival of Scott Parker, this is no longer the case for the former Internacional midfielder.
