£14m Osvaldo coming to White Hart Lane?

Tottenham are set to go head-to-head with Athletico Madrid for Espanyol's star striker Pablo Osvaldo.

The Spanish club are resigned to losing their star striker after admitting they would listen to bids for the Argentina born Italian striker.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp remains confident in landing Osvaldo after the club, reportedly, offered £14m for the striker, £3m more than what Athletico Madrid are offering.

It is no secret that Redknapp is in the market for a new striker after a disappointing campaign from current crop Jermain Defoe, Roman Pavlyuchenko and Peter Crouch.

In order to balance the books, the club are said to be willing to listen to offers for Defoe and Pavlyuchenko.

Reports suggest Osvaldo will sign a four year deal worth £65,000 a week.
