Gervinho puts transfer talk on hold

Tottenham target Gervinho has moved to quash speculation linking him with a move to White Hart Lane, albeit, until the end of the season.

The Ivory Coast international recently shone in Lille's French Cup success and with Harry Redknapp said be encouraged by his performances, Gervinho wants to wait until the end of the campaign before discussing his future.

"I have read in the French press and been told by a friend in London that Harry has been to watch me," he said.

"But, to be honest, I am only thinking about winning the French league at the moment.

"The transfer talk can wait until the end of the season."

Since 2009, Gervinho has hit 25 goals in 54 league appearances.
