Bale wants White Hart Lane stay

Gareth Bale has give Tottenham a welcome boost by stating he will be at White Hart Lane next season.

The PFA Player of the Year has turned heads this season after a series of fine displays, none more so than the double header against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League group stages.

His performances haven't gone un-noticed with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United all credited with an interest in the Welshman.

"Yes, I just signed a new contract recently. I fully believe we've got a good enough squad to challenge for the fourth spot next season." Bale said when asked if he was staying next season.

"Keeping our best players is even more important than signing new ones. We have done very well this season, we are all still quite young and we are trying to get a consistency that will get us higher up the league." he added.

Bale has been a prominent figure in the Spurs starting XI in the past 18 months and was recently rewarded with new contract until 2015.
