'Leandro perfect for England' - Sandro

With Tottenham said to be readying a bid for £10m rated Leandro Damiao, former team mate Sandro has admittied his close friend would be perfectly suited for the English game.

Spurs are said to be in pole position for the signing of the Brazilian and Sandro, formerly of Internacional, Leandro's current club, believes he has all the attributes to light up the Premiership.

"He is a very strong guy, he is the perfect size for English football, he can do very well here," the Spurs midfielder said.

"Not only do Spurs want him, we read that other sides are also interested in Leandro Damiao. Damiao is a guy who is globally known. He's got quality,"

"The directors always talks to me about Brazilian players. They asked me about Leandro Damiao and I told them he's a fantastic guy of high quality. Hopefully we will knock on the door of Internacional very soon."

Sandro has gone on to make 19 first team appearances have joined the North London outfit last year.
