Spurs in Parker talks

Tottenham are reportedly in talks with West Ham United over the proposed move of captain Scott Parker.

Parker has been linked with a move away from Upton Park since the Hammers relegation was confirmed last May.

Liverpool and Arsenal were linked with moves for the England international however, it is Spurs who have jumped to the front of the queue in the race for his signature.

Manager Harry Redknapp is a keen admirer of the 30-year-old and came close to signing him in January.

Unconfirmed reports now indicate that Parker has handed in a transfer request in any to force the move through by Wenesday's deadline.
